The joint publication entitled Sport in the Context of the Contemporary Social and Cultural Changes has been created thanks to the effort of the International Society for the Social Sciences of Sport, established in February 2009 at the Department of Social Sciences of the Józef Pi_sudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw. Professor Jerzy Kosiewicz was elected as its first president and was re-elected in 2014 for his second tenure.
